PackedScene resources are freed before they are saved

Condensed some if and ERR statements. Added dots to end of error messages
Couldn't figure out EXPLAINC. These files gave me trouble: core/error_macros.h, core/io/file_access_buffered_fa.h (where is it?),
core/os/memory.cpp,
drivers/png/png_driver_common.cpp,
drivers/xaudio2/audio_driver_xaudio2.cpp (where is it?)

- PackedScenes freed before saved, so their path cache is lost
- Solution is to move data to persistent static map
- This patch will fix #30538
|
|
-Node folding is now saved externally together with the properties
-External resources remember their ID when scenes are saved.
|
|
Happy new year to the wonderful Godot community!
|
|
-Removed one and zero hints for properties, replaced by default value
|
|
This allows more consistency in the manner we include core headers,
where previously there would be a mix of absolute, relative and
include path-dependent includes.

Fixed duplicating AnimationPlayers leaving empty tracks.
I don't think duplicating arrays worked before. There was even this weird
//does not make a long of sense but should work
comment at the changed line. Fixes #21616

hasher, this was leading to some severe slowdown in scenarios
-Fixes to some duplication scenarios for instanced scenes
|
|
|
|
-Added ability to edit resources from built-in inspector (wip, needs testing and feedback)
|
|
Also, add deep (=false) parameter to Array.duplicate and Dictionary.duplicate
Fixes #13971

Using `misc/scripts/fix_headers.py` on all Godot files.
Some missing header guards were added, and the header inclusion order
was fixed in the Bullet module.

-Properly use hierarchy to initialize resources local to scene (solves problem of GUI in 3D)

-Label and Button reload translation on the fly
-Resources are loaded and reload depending on locale

I can show you the code
Pretty, with proper whitespace
Tell me, coder, now when did
You last write readable code?
I can open your eyes
Make you see your bad indent
Force you to respect the style
The core devs agreed upon
A whole new world
A new fantastic code format
A de facto standard
With some sugar
Enforced with clang-format
A whole new world
A dazzling style we all dreamed of
And when we read it through
It's crystal clear
That now we're in a whole new world of code
|

This new name also makes its purpose a little clearer
This is a step towards fixing #56

This saves typing and is a step towards fixing #56

Made sure files in core/ and tools/ have a proper Godot license header
when written by us. Also renamed aabb.{cpp,h} and object_type_db.{cpp,h}
to rect3.{cpp,h} and class_db.{cpp,h} respectively.
Also added a proper header to core/io/base64.{c,h} after clarifying
the licensing with the original author (public domain).

They do not play well with clang-format which aligns the `//` part
with the rest of the code block, thus producing badly indented commented code.

Matrix32 -> Transform2D
Matrix3 -> Basis
AABB -> Rect3
RawArray -> PoolByteArray
IntArray -> PoolIntArray
FloatArray -> PoolFloatArray
Vector2Array -> PoolVector2Array
Vector3Array -> PoolVector3Array
ColorArray -> PoolColorArray

being edited!
This means that each time this scene is instanced, the resource will be unique!
As such, thanks to this, the following features were implemented:
-ButtonGroup is no longer a control, it's now a resource local to the scene
-ViewportTexture can be created from the editor and set to any object, making ViewportSprite and other kind of nodes obsolete!
|
|
renamed to PoolVector
|
|
-Modified help to display properties
GDScript can still not make use of them, though.
|
|
Variant.
All usages of "type" to refer to classes were renamed to "class"
ClassDB has been exposed to GDScript.
OBJ_TYPE() macro is now GDCLASS()

That year should bring the long-awaited OpenGL ES 3.0 compatible renderer
with state-of-the-art rendering techniques tuned to work as low as middle
end handheld devices - without compromising with the possibilities given
for higher end desktop games of course. Great times ahead for the Godot
community and the gamers that will play our games!

change on disk. Closes #4059.

-Rearrange favorites in fs dock with drag and drop
-Removed import -> sub-scene, moved to scenetree contextual menu
-Removed import -> re-import , moved and integrated to FS dock
-Added ability in FS dock to re-import more than one resource
simultaneously
-Added ability to drag from native filesystem explorer to Godot, only
works on Windows though
-Removed scene reimport merge options, never worked well. Eventually
merging materials should be re-added
-Added ability to set custom root node type when importing scenes
-Re-Import is now automatic, can be configured back to manual in editor
settings
-Added resource previews in property list for many resource types

All classes were reviewed apart from VisualServer for which no argument name is documented at all.
While doing this review, I found quite a few bugs that were fixed either in earlier commits or this one (mostly documentation bugs though, i.e. some arguments were listed at the wrong place).
